New Illustration for Cake Maker |
Feb, 16 2012 Written by Brad PetersonI love drawing illustrations for people. It's one of my speacialties as a Freelance artist. There's not a huge market for people that want to add characters to their business or personal persona but I'm glad when I get such a job. I believe that illustration makes a business seem more friendly and, if done right, professional. And in our day and age where everyone is competting for you attention, who doesn't like a character guiding the way through the information age.

Completed Trailer Wrap for Customer |
January, 23 2012 Written by Brad PetersonA huge project was completed and I wanted to blog about it because I don't have a page dedicated to this type of work. Here at Unique, we are so diverse when it comes to experience and abilities. We're your one stop shop for graphics, installation and website. Anything your business needs including marketing and advertising can be done by out shop. So what was this huge project? Vehicle graphics and wraps. I just wrapped an entire trailer in graphics and it looks GREAT. I can wrap printed graphics on any vehicle (though trailers are one of the simplest) for a really good price. Check out the wrap I did for Bull Basin Archery below!

Creativity and Freelance Potential |
January, 9 2012 Written by Brad PetersonCreative people tend to have a dark side. They are usually free thinkers and tend to dislike authority. But that usually rears it's ugly head in adolescence. As adults, creative thinkers still tend to be free thinkers still, but find that authority, somewhat distanced, is important and necessary if you want to make any money. But the distance allows freelancers to use their full creative potential.
This is why Freelancers make great additions to your team. They can give you the creative edge you need while keeping their fabled independence. Some of the best illustrators, authors, graphic artists are freelancers. So give one a try and call Brad Peterson at Unique today. 520-869-9649 |
New drawing of . . . Myself? |
December, 15 2011 Written by Brad Peterson
Anyone know what this image is all about? Yes, it is Brad Peterson at his office, NOT working. That's not to say that he doesn't do graphic art or illustration or writing all day everyday, but at this moment in time he's relaxing. There are times when all of us need to kick up our feet and take a deep breath. We have to be able to smell the roses and not sneeze, roll our eyes or get stung by a bee. The Chi in all of us is fighting for a spot in the sun. So go out to your back yard with some cheese or a ice cold water, soda, or tea and sit there. Clear your mind. Set your reset button. When you are done, call Brad and get him to do some of your work for you! |
Enlarge and Be Proud! |
November, 21 2011 Written by Brad PetersonThere's a new trend afoot and it's simple: Make reading your website easy for your customers. If you aren't using at least a 16 point font then you really don't want people to read what you've written. This might sound harsh and it is, but I've become a full believer. Have you ever tried to read a font this big on a web page?Did you give up reading the above font size? If not, you must have been really interested in what that said. Unless your a savy internet surfer and know how to enlarge the font display settings I'll guarantee that you leaned way closer to the screen to see it or you just skipped that sentence. My point is that if there's worth to what you have to say; Say it Large, Be Proud!Every website that comes out of Unique Design and Web services creative fingers will have a large font size that will allow your customers or readers to read your content with ease. This is one worth wile internet trend. Many publications in print use a font size of 12 points. So why wouldn't a designer use that size? Because most people that read that size font hold the book, magazine or newspaper close to their eyes to read it. The font enlarges to a comfortable size. Our computer screens are - or should be - a bit further from our eyes. So why make your readers lean way too close to their computer screens or seek out the enlarge function on their browsers? Unique vows to eliminate stress reading on the internet. We're fighting for less red eye and more satisfaction. So Enlarge. There's plenty of space on your web page. |
